Who are you and what do you do?
A horse crazy kid, all grown up. Now I live on my farm with horses, and I admire their beauty everyday. I do the best I can to share my passion in a way that everyone can enjoy.
When and why did you become an artist/designer?
I was fortunate to have teachers back in grade school that encouraged me along in the arts, and that continued all the way through high school for me. At which time I listened to their advice and pursued a degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design.
What type of media do you create in – photography, digital, mixed media?
I put down my paint brushes shortly after college, and have since let that talent go for the most part. Now I choose a camera to start the majority of my pieces. I like to start with a gorgeous equine photograph, and turn it into a work of art on my computer.
Who is your intended audience?
People from all walks of life enjoy splendid equine imagery.
Where do you get inspiration?
Clearly, my inspiration is walking around outside my window, right now.
But I also enjoy anything and everything found outside in nature.
What is your preferred subject and why:
Horses are majestic, yet graceful and help us feel powerful with all of their generosity.
What artwork of yours is your favorite and why?
The one I am going to make tomorrow. I love the creation process.
What advice would you give a new artist/designer beginning their POD adventure?
Diversify! Both in the type of art you create, and where you sell it. Get your work out there on multiple POD sites, and figure out which one is the best fit for your works.
Ask experienced PODers lots of questions. That is how we all learned in the beginning, and we are here to pass it on.
And for fun, if you could; what superpower would you have and why?
To fly like Superman! Of course. There is so much time wasted just traveling.
