Stanford University organic food report

organic-food-report

A few days ago after an evening meal with friends the topic came around to the Stanford University organic food report. I hadn't heard of it yet which is probably because I rarely watch mainstream news.  My friend said the report showed that organic foods were no more nutritious than conventional foods. So why pay more for organic food if it's not more nutritious? So what is all the fuss … [Read more...]

Local food store closed

FoodCenter

I was sad to learn yesterday that a local food center where I get much of my organic foods and vegetarian items is closing. The food center has been in business for 17 years. Farmers Market … [Read more...]

37768062

More than six months after deciding to live a vegetarian life I'm beginning to wonder if non vegetarians are offended in some way by vegetarians. When I say offended I don't necessarily mean in a bad way but through my own observations I've notice a change in attitude among friends. When I first mentioned to one of my friends that I was in the process of changing over to eating vegetarian the very … [Read more...]
